Target Information

Influenza A virus (IAV) is prevalent among wild bird populations, with 18 hemagglutinin subtypes linked to wild waterfowl hosts. Among these subtypes, H12 IAV is infrequently isolated. H12 viruses are mainly detected in migratory waterfowl and shorebirds and have not been identified in chickens, turkeys, or mammals.
