Target Information
Porcine natural cytotoxicity triggering receptor 1 (NCR1), also known as NKp46, is a type I transmembrane protein expressed predominantly on natural killer (NK) cells and a subset of innate lymphoid cells (ILCs). It plays a critical role in the recognition and killing of virus-infected cells and tumor cells by NK cells. NCR1 is characterized by two C2-type Ig-like domains and is involved in mediating non-MHC-restricted cytotoxicity. This receptor can bind to various viral and cellular ligands, including hemagglutinins from influenza viruses and other pathogens, as well as stress-induced proteins on tumor cells.
