Theileria parva is a parasitic species named in honor of Arnold Theiler. It is responsible for causing East Coast fever (theileriosis) in cattle, a costly disease in Africa. Symptoms of East Coast fever include anorexia, fever, and enlarged lymph nodes, which can lead to lymphadenopathy.
