BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the border disease virus. It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose border disease virus infection in ovine and caprine. The clone N08Y663 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N08Y664 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Target Information
Border disease virus (BDV) is a viral pathogen that primarily affects sheep, causing a disease known as Border Disease (BD). BDV can also impact goats and wild ruminants. The virus primarily targets the reproductive and nervous systems of the host, leading to fetal infection and developmental abnormalities.

This product is shipped with dry ice. Store at -20°C to -80°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
