Mouse Anti-Porcine Arrestin Beta-2 Monoclonal Antibody
Product Overview
BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for porcine arrestin beta-2. It can be applied to WB, IF and ICC assays of porcine arrestin beta-2.
Specifications
Target Information
Porcine arrestin beta-2 is a member of the arrestin family, which are involved in the desensitization and internalization of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). In the retina, arrestin beta-2 is crucial for the termination of the visual signal transduction process. Upon light exposure, the photoreceptor cell's rhodopsin activates a G protein, initiating a signaling cascade. Porcine arrestin beta-2 binds to the activated rhodopsin, quenching the signal and preventing further activation, which is essential for the recovery of photoreceptor cells after light exposure.
