BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the Burkholderia mallei. It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose Burkholderia mallei infection in feline, canine, equine, caprine, mule, and donkey. The clone N08Y361 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N08Y362 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Target Information
Burkholderia mallei is a Gram-negative bacterium and the causative agent of the infectious disease known as glanders. Burkholderia mallei primarily affects equine (horses, mules, and donkeys) but can also infect other mammals, including humans. In horses, glanders can manifest as nasal discharge, respiratory symptoms, and the formation of nodules or ulcers in the respiratory tract.

This product is shipped with dry ice. Store at -20°C to -80°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
