Target Information

Chicken ghrelin (GHRL) is a 26-amino acid peptide hormone that was first isolated from chicken proventriculus. In birds, ghrelin receptors of GI tract mediate stimulatory effects of ghrelin on gut motility. It was reported to inhibit food intake in chickens.
