Target Information

Interleukin 5 (IL5), which is produced by T cells, is one of the key cytokines driving the expansion of progenitors and their maturation into eosinophils, which produces IL4 and promotes the type 2 helper T cell response. IL5 is likely involved in the pathogenesis of eosinophilic gastritis in piglets.
