Target Information

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is an endotoxin released from the cell wall of gram negative bacteria. It can induce a well-established porcine model of intestinal injury by influencing intestinal immunity response, energy metabolism, absorption, mucosal barrier function, and antiviral function. LPS concentration in blood or feces can also be used for the indirect measurement for intestinal permeability.
