Target Information

Porcine pancreatic PLA2 possesses an intrinsic secretin-releasing activity. In addition to function as a digestive enzyme, pPLA2 has also been shown to regulate cellular function, including cell proliferation, vascular smooth muscle contraction, stimulation of prostaglandin production and type II PLA2 gene expression, and secretion of a steroid hormone.
