Target Information

Porcine PLAU, also known as urokinase-type plasminogen activator (uPA), is a serine protease of the trypsin family produced by smooth muscle cells, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, macrophages, and tumor cells. It plays roles in cellular invasion and tissue remodeling by catalyzing plasminogen to serine protease plasmin. In porcine follicle developmental-stage, PLAU appears to be a specific protein in medium follicle size.
