Target Information

Actin Beta (ACTB) is a highly conserved protein involved in cell motility, structure, and integrity. Actin exists in both monomeric (G-actin) and polymeric (F-actin) forms. Both forms play key functions, such as cell motility, contraction, and cytoskeleton maintenance. Actin also localizes in the nucleus, where it regulates gene transcription and DNA repair. It can be a stable reference gene in many species.
