Target Information

Conglutinin is a collectin protein involved in the innate immune system. COLEC11 binds to specific sugars on pathogens and facilitates their recognition and clearance by immune cells. It is encoded by the CGN1 gene in bovine. Bovine conglutinin is a member of the mammalian C-type collectin subfamily. It is a serum protein synthesised in the liver that is thought to play a role in natural host defence.
