Target Information
Bovine thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) has two subunits, designated TSH-α and TSH-β. TSH is a glycoprotein hormone produced by the anterior pituitary gland. It is the primary stimulus for thyroid hormone production by the thyroid gland. TSH stimulates the thyroid gland to produce and release thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). These thyroid hormones play essential roles in metabolism, growth, and development.
