Target Information

Thyroxine (T4) is a hormone produced and secreted by the thyroid gland. Each molecule consists of a protein and four molecules of iodide. It is the main form of thyroid hormone in the blood. It is likely that dogs show low-normal levels of T4 and free T4 and increased TSH concentrations during the early stages of thyroid failure.
