Target Information

Cadherin 1, encoded by the goat gene CDH1, serves as a tumor suppressor gene. Cadherin-1 is a cell adhesion molecule important for forming adherens junctions that allow cells to adhere to each other. It belongs to a family of highly conserved transmembrane glycoproteins known as cadherins. These cadherins play a crucial role in calcium-dependent cell adhesion, facilitating the formation of organized tissues by interacting with a group of cytosolic proteins called catenins.
