Folate in the form of folic acid is used to treat anemia caused by folate deficiency. It plays a crucial role in cell growth, DNA synthesis, and aiding in the production of red blood cells. Previous research has shown that sulphur and folic acid supplementation improves performance of broilers fed suboptimal levels of dietary methionine.
