Target Information

Hyaluronic acid (also known as hyaluronan or hyaluronate) is an anionic, nonsulfated glycosaminoglycan distributed widely throughout connective, epithelial, and neural tissues. It helps the joints function smoothly by preventing bones from grinding against each other and reduces pain and the risk of injury. Research has shown that daily supplementation with oral hyaluronic acid from a natural extract of chicken combs was useful to enhance several markers of quality of life in adults with osteoarthritis of the knee.
