Target Information

Interferon gamma (IFN-γ) is encoded by the IFNG gene. IFN-γ has antiviral, anti-tumor and immunomodulatory effects. It can regulate the expression levels of 30 genes and produce a variety of cellular responses. Induction of macrophages with IFN-γ promoted the synthesis of NO, and it also induced the production of iNOS in microglia astrocytes. It may also be related to the occurrence or protective effect of some diseases of the central nervous system. In chickens fed with essential oils, the IFNG gene expression was significantly increased.
