Target Information

Members of the interleukin-17 family, such as IL17F, play a role in regulating both normal and abnormal T cell responses. The protein encoded by the IL17F gene is a cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17. It is expressed by activated T cells. In chickens infected with Eimeria maxima, there was a significant upregulation in the expression level of the proinflammatory cytokine IL-17F in the jejunum.
