Target Information

Interleukin-2 (IL2), previously known as T cell growth factor, is a potent immunomodulatory lymphofactor produced by T cells activated by lectins or antigens. It is produced not only by mature T lymphocytes in response to stimulation but also by certain T cell lymphoma cell lines. The balance between pro-inflammatory cytokines (IFN-γ and IL-2) and anti-inflammatory cytokine (IL-4) was disturbed by Aflatoxin B1 in a chicken model.
