Target Information

Netrin 1 is encoded by the chicken NTN1 gene. It belongs to a family of laminin-related secreted proteins. Although the precise function of Netrin-1 is not fully defined, it is believed to play essential roles in axon guidance and cell migration during development. It may play diverse roles in axon guidance, survival, local cell adhesion and basement membrane integrity.
