Immortalized equine kidney primary fibroblasts are isolated from equine lung and exhibited an extended lifespan compared to normal primary cells. Primary fibroblasts are immortalized by overexpressing the HPV16 E6/E7 gene. Equine kidney primary fibroblast products are utilized in various standard biochemical procedures to characterize cell products and derivatives, as well as to investigate cell-cell interactions.
