Target Information

Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) is an endocrine growth factor crucial for normal growth, fetal development, and metabolism. It exerts its effects by binding to the IGF1R receptor, thereby modulating the biological actions of growth hormone (GH). Notably, research has identified three specific SNPs within the IGF1 gene that exhibit significant associations with four growth traits in Hulun Buir sheep.
