Target Information

Cold inducible RNA binding protein is encoded by the CIRBP gene in pigs. Cold-inducible RNA-binding protein is an intracellular protein that responds to diverse stress conditions by altering its expression and stabilizing mRNA. As an RNA-binding protein, CIRP regulates gene expression post-transcriptionally, influencing genes related to DNA repair, cellular redox metabolism, circadian rhythms, telomere maintenance, and cell survival.
