Target Information
Hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF-1-alpha), also known as HIF-1-alpha, is a subunit of a heterodimeric transcription factor called hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1). It is a master regulator of cellular and systemic responses to low oxygen levels (hypoxia). Hypoxia Inducible Factor 1 Alpha is encoded by the HIF1A gene in pigs. Research has shown that the production of VEGF is regulated by HIF-1alpha, especially under hypoxic conditions.
