Immortalized porcine kidney epithelial primary cells are isolated from porcine kidney and exhibited an extended lifespan compared to normal primary cells. Primary cells are immortalized by overexpressing human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT). Porcine kidney epithelial primary cell products are utilized in various standard biochemical procedures to characterize cell products and derivatives, as well as to investigate cell-cell interactions.
