Target Information
C3a is a protein fragment resulting from the cleavage of complement component 3. It is a 77-residue anaphylatoxin that binds to the C3a receptor (C3aR), a class A G protein-coupled receptor, playing a significant role in the immune response. Through the GPCR C3a receptor, C3a triggers various responses and serves as an effector of the complement system. Its functions include T cell activation and survival, stimulation of angiogenesis, chemotaxis, mast cell degranulation, and macrophage activation. C3a functions in rabbits in the following ways: regulates vascular reactivity, promotes inflammatory responses, participates in immune regulation, and influences tissue damage and repair.
