Target Information
Interleukin 12 (IL-12) is an interleukin naturally produced by dendritic cells, macrophages, neutrophils, helper T cells, and human B-lymphoblastoid cells (NC-37) in response to antigenic stimulation. IL-12 is crucial for the functioning of natural killer cells and T lymphocytes. In human, IL-12 significantly enhances the target cell killing ability of NK cells, promotes NK cell migration and increases the expression of cell surface molecules. Although there is no direct literature describing the function of rabbit IL-12, as an important immunomodulatory factor, IL-12 may have similar mechanisms of action in different species.
