Target Information

Acylamino Acid-Releasing Enzyme (AARE), also known as acylpeptide hydrolase (APEH/ACPH), acylaminoacyl peptidase (AAP), or oxidized protein hydrolase (OPH), is a deeply conserved protease found in all domains of life. Bovine Acylamino-Acid-Releasing Enzyme is encoded by the APEH gene in cattle. It is a gene related with proteolysis and shows metabolic functions that potentially can contribute to uniformity of yearling weight in Nellore cattle.

Target/Biomarker Bovine APEH
Target Synonym acylaminoacyl-peptide hydrolase; APH; AARE; acylamino-acid-releasing enzyme; Acyl-peptide hydrolase; Acylaminoacyl-peptidase; N-acylaminoacyl-peptide hydrolase
