Target Information

Chloride intracellular channel protein 5 is a member of the CLIC family of anion channels, facilitating the movement of chloride ions across intracellular membranes. CLIC5 specifically contributes to chloride regulation within specific cellular compartments, influencing various processes. It is encoded by the CLIC5 gene in bovine. CLIC5 consists of two isoforms, CLIC5A and CLIC5B, which are the result of alternative splicing of their first exons.
