Target Information

Corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH), also known as corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) or corticoliberin, is a peptide hormone involved in stress responses. CRH is primarily released by the hypothalamus. Corticotropin Releasing Hormone is encoded by the CRH gene in sheep. It has been reported that hypothalamic CRH drives fetal production of ACTH and is essential for the onset of parturition triggered by a surge in fetal cortisol.
