Target Information

Bovine Dolichyl-Diphosphooligosaccharide-Protein Glycosyltransferase 48 kDa Subunit is encoded by the DDOST gene in cattle. It is an important enzyme in the process of high-mannose oligosaccharide transferring in cells. DDOST is involved in protein N-glycosylation. It catalyzes the transfer of high-mannose oligosaccharides to specific asparagine residues on nascent polypeptides within the rough endoplasmic reticulum. This initial glycosylation step is crucial for proper protein folding and function.
