Target Information

DNAJB1 belongs to the DnaJ or Hsp40 family of proteins. It contains a highly conserved amino acid stretch called the "J-domain". Bovine DnaJ Homolog Subfamily B Member 1 is encoded by the DNAJB1 gene in cattle. The DNAJB1 gene undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in multiple transcript variants. It is a differentially expressed gene associated with ATP-dependent protein folding. While DNAJB1's exact role remains partially understood, it is essential for cellular health.
