Target Information

Bovine Electron Transfer Flavoprotein-Ubiquinone Oxidoreductase, Mitochondrial is encoded by the ETFDH gene in cattle. ETFDH catalyzes the transfer of electrons from ETF to ubiquinone, reducing it to ubiquinol. It facilitates the transfer of electrons from electron-transferring flavoprotein (ETF) in the mitochondrial matrix to the ubiquinone pool in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Null variants in the ETFDH generally produce a complete loss of protein function or expression.

Target/Biomarker Bovine ETFDH
Target Synonym electron transfer flavoprotein dehydrogenase; electron transfer flavoprotein-ubiquinone oxidoreductase, mitochondrial; ETF dehydrogenase; ETF-QO; ETF-ubiquinone oxidoreductase; electron-transferring-flavoprotein dehydrogenase
