Target Information

Bovine Protein Fem-1 Homolog A is encoded by the FEM1A gene in cattle. It is a cellular partner of the EP4 receptor for prostaglandin E2. FEM1A enables EP4 subtype prostaglandin E2 receptor binding activity and acts as a substrate recognition subunit in an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex. Genetic studies have revealed that FEM1A single nucleotide polymorphisms were associated with an increased likelihood of PCOS.
