Target Information
Rab GDP Dissociation Inhibitor Alpha (Rab GDI alpha), also known as dipeptidyl peptidase I (DPP-I), is a protein involved in intracellular vesicle-membrane transport. Rab GDI alpha regulates the GDP/GTP exchange reaction of most Rab proteins by inhibiting the dissociation of GDP from them and preventing their subsequent binding to GTP. Bovine Rab GDP Dissociation Inhibitor Alpha is encoded by the GDI1 gene in cattle. It is a protein differentially expressed in the endometrium of pregnant compared to cyclic heifers during the pregnancy recognition period.
