Target Information
Keratin 19 (KRT19), also known as cytokeratin-19 (CK-19) or simply K19, is a protein encoded by the KRT19 gene in cattle. Keratin 19 is a member of the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells. Unlike other family members, K19 is not paired with a basic cytokeratin in epithelial cells. It is related to apoptosis regulation.
