Target Information
NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase chain 4L is a subunit of complex I in the mitochondrial electron transport chain, also known as NADH dehydrogenase. This complex transfers electrons from NADH to ubiquinone, a crucial step in oxidative phosphorylation for ATP production. It is encoded by the ND4L gene in bovine. Research has shown that genetic diversities of MT-ND3 and MT-ND4L genes are associated with high-altitude adaptation.
