Target Information

Acyl carrier protein, mitochondrial is encoded by the NDUFAB1 gene in bovine. This small protein acts as a temporary carrier within the mitochondria. It carries acyl groups (derived from fatty acids) during various metabolic processes, including fatty acid synthesis and beta-oxidation. Also known as mitochondrial acyl carrier protein, it acts as a powerful cardio-protector by increasing the capacity and efficiency of mitochondrial energy metabolism.

Target/Biomarker Bovine NDUFAB1
Target Synonym Acyl carrier protein, mitochondrial; ACP; CI-SDAP
Gene ID 327702
UniProt ID P52505
