Target Information

Thrombopoietin is encoded by the THPO gene in cattle. Research showed that the possible involvement of locally produced TPO/c-MPL system might be a 'physiological filter' in bovine ovary where they might promote cell selection by inducing proliferation of viable cells and scavenging non-viable cells and thereby might play an important role in modulation of ovarian function.
