Target Information

WNT inhibitory factor 1 is encoded by the WIF1 gene in cattle. It is a lipid-binding protein coding gene that binds to Wnt proteins, preventing them from passing signals to the cell. WIF1 is believed to function as a tumor suppressor gene by disrupting Wnt signaling.
