Target Information

Bone gamma-carboxyglutamate protein, also known as osteocalcin, is encoded by the BGLAP gene in goats. Research using a goat model has demonstrated that Mg2+ is a strong inhibitor of osteocalcin's binding to hydroxyapatite.
