Target Information

Folic acid is also known as vitamin B9, vitamin M, vitamin Bc, and pteroylglutamic acid. It can be used to treat anemia caused by folic acid deficiency. It was concluded that transport of folic acid in the small intestine of 6-d-old male goat was by a pH-dependent mechanism both in brush-border-membrane vesicles and in intact enterocytes.
