Target Information

Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), also known as androstenolone, is an endogenous steroid hormone precursor. It acts as a metabolic intermediate in the biosynthesis of the sex steroids androgen and estrogen both in the gonads and in various other tissues. It is normally found in the form of dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS). The body holds DHEAS in reserve and converts it to specific hormones when needed.
