Target Information
Interleukin-12 subunit alpha is a subunit of the cytokine Interleukin-12 (IL-12). Interleukin 12A is encoded by the equine gene IL12A. IL-12 is a key cytokine in the development of cell-mediated immune responses. Bioactive IL-12 is a heterodimeric cytokine composed of disulfide-linked p35 (IL12A) and p40 (IL12B) subunits. It acts on T cells and natural killer cells. In summary, IL12A contributes to immune modulation and plays a vital role in coordinating immune responses.
