Target Information

Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland that plays a vital role in sexual development and reproduction. FSH collaborates closely with luteinizing hormone (LH) in the reproductive system. Interestingly, research indicates that low doses of FSH can effectively induce follicular turnover. Ovarian stimulation of anestrous cats with FSH can improve quality and increase the expression of LHCGR in cumulus-oocyte complexes.

Target Synonym FSH-B; FSH-beta
