Heat Shock-related 70 kDa Protein 2 (HSPA2), also known as HSP72, is a multifunctional protein encoded by the HSPA2 gene in goats. HSPA2 is implicated in a wide variety of cellular processes. It belongs to HSP70 family. The function of HSPA2 is mainly associated with spermatogenesis. HSPA2 plays a pivotal role in maintaining protein quality within cells. It ensures correct protein folding, refolding of misfolded proteins, and controls protein targeting for subsequent degradation.
