Target Information

Transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1), also known as TGF-beta 1, is a polypeptide member of the transforming growth factor beta superfamily of cytokines. Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 is encoded by the TGFB1 gene in goats. It is a key mediator of atrial fibrosis in animal models. It is ubiquitously expressed at high levels in the heart during embryonic development and adult life in mammals.
