Target Information

Sheep CNPase, or 2',3'-cyclic nucleotide-3'-phosphodiesterase, is an enzyme that is associated with myelin in the nervous system and is also found in other cellular structures. It catalyzes the hydrolysis of 2',3'-cyclic nucleotides to 2'-nucleotides and is implicated in the regulation of the mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP), which is significant in cell death mechanisms, including apoptosis and necrosis.
